It’s been a little quiet on here but that doesn’t mean things have been slow for me, so time for an update!
First of all, the play I mentioned in my last post has been written. I completed a first draft a few months ago and have been applying to various places to aide in its development/production, so keep your fingers crossed for me in that regard!
Just this past weekend, I had a headshot session. This morning my agent picked out the ones she likes and I’m looking forward to sharing my new headshots with you once they get touched up.
Within the past few days, I’ve submitted 3 voiceover auditions, a self-tape, and 2 commercial auditions. Happy that production season is starting to pick back up!
Next week I’ll be heading to London and hoping to connect with my friends and colleagues there and catch some theatre in that wonderful city.
On a personal level, I was born and raised in Fort McMurray and, as many of you know, it’s being ravaged by wildfire right now. A lot of my energy over the last week has been spent supporting my family, as we learnt both my parents’ house and my sister’s house have been lost in the fire. Living in Toronto, I’ve been doing my best to help them by passing along important information they might otherwise miss as they connect with insurance and other supports, find a temporary place to live, enrol my nephews in school in a new district, etc. If you are able, please take a moment and donate to the Canadian Red Cross to help the thousands of fire victims who need support right now.
